I only started to watch this serie some weeks ago and decided to try to make my own version of Maetel, though it was more difficult than I expected. It is not very easy to take a simple but nice char design and make it a bit more complex.
I just felt attracted by the classic character design, quite similar to those I watched when I was a child like 'Festival de Robots' (a classic show broadcasted here in Chile which included Toei series like: Starzinger, Steel Jeeg & some others) or Robotech - oh! melancholy!
