Description

Jago
[Killer Instinct]

I always liked Jago's flying kick and fighting style. Whenever I choose a fighting game character, I make sure it has some good strong kicks because I like jumping a lot (I guess) so connecting long kicks from the air and start combos that way is what I usually do.

As for this illustration, I tried to make the classic NES design (which was quite simple in terms of details) more comic like. So I had a look at some classic X-Men issues I saw around the web and got some inspiration. Gambit's hairstyle was borrowed in some way... haha... I even felt like drawing Psylocke next time... I guess Jim Lee's works are definitely inspiring as for human body knowledge refers... wow! his pencil strokes look really cool.
It was hard to find good references for Jago. I didn't really manage to understand what type of shoes, boots or sandals he wears... and the sword... I didn't really find a good reference either. Maybe next time I will try to do a better job.

This work is aimed to be included as part of Killer Instinct Tribute organized by -Game Art HQ - Fighting Games Elite [fighting-games-elite.deviantart.com].
